Personal Growth
What does psychology have to offer you that you can’t get from the average self-help guru?
Real, concrete, tested exercises and information that will help you achieve personal growth.
Psychologists do not want your money
It’s shocking right? But it’s true, psychologists aren’t interested in selling you a product. They don’t want your money. What they want is to understand how the human mind works, and they’re getting very good at it.
What Improved Lives has to Offer You
What I want to do here at Improved Lives is tell you what these psychologists are finding out about personal growth. Some of this info is already out there in self-help books, but you would be surprised how much of it isn’t.
The topics this blog will cover aren’t much different from the topics covered at your average self-help blog:
- Creativity
- Goal Setting
- Happiness
- Productivity
- Motivation
- Life Purpose
- Health
- Social Intelligence
- Emotional Intelligence
- Relationships
All these things are here, it’s just the answers that are different.
The honest, simple truth that I whole-heartedly believe is that psychology is a bigger and better version of self-help. There are good ways and poor ways of achieving personal growth and psychology simply has better tools than self-help for distinguishing between the good ways and the poor ways.
So go subscribe and find out how psychology can benefit you and give you better personal growth.
About Me
My name is Stu, I’m a recent university graduate and a writer who has dabbled in self-help for many years but always found it lacking. I finally stumbled on to Positive Psychology and it really changed my whole outlook on self-help. I stopped dabbling and really started applying and I haven’t looked back since.
Here are a few random facts about me. I believe in Sasquatches, I love berry smoothies and I make really kick-ass Hummus. I love adventure racing and one of my big goals in life is to complete Primal Quest (one of the hardest adventure races). I’m a minimalist, I drink green tea every day, and last but not least, I have absolutely no idea who I will be in five years, what I’ll be doing or where I’ll be doing it, and I like it that way.
