Back in June I had a post called How You can Participate in Real Positive Psychology Studies. It went over a few really interesting research studies being done by Dr. Martin Seligman that needed volunteers.

Many of these research studies ask people to change their lives in a certain way, the hope being that the change will have a positive impact on the volunteer. Because of this, I think participating in these studies is a great way for anyone interested in personal growth to make some positive changes in their lives.

In my last post on this I went over 4 different studies that were being done that needed volunteers. Those 4 studies are still accepting new participants, but there is another one that’s been added that I think sounds really worthwhile.

  • Positive Psychology Exercise Packages Study – Participants must be willing to commit to completing brief, weekly assessments for 6 weeks and several brief follow-up assessments over the next year (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after the completion of the 6-week assessment period). In addition to these assessments, each participant will be randomly assigned to complete anywhere between 0 and 6 exercises over the next 6 weeks.

I think this is the same kind of study that Dr. Seligman did awhile ago, which I wrote about here at Improved Lives: 5 Happiness Boosting Exercises: Which Ones Work and Which Ones Don’t do Anything

Based on that, I would highly encourage anyone interested in doing this to participate. The previous study Dr. Seligman did had some really amazing results, and it was clear that a lot of people really benefited in a big way from some of the exercises that they got to do through that study.

To participate in this study, go here, it’s the first one on the list.
